Tripods For Your Camera

Someone wrote somewhere that the easiest, most effective way to improve the quality of one’s photographs is to use a tripod.  And it’s true.  Nowhere else will you get the firm, steady grip you will need for SLR shooting.  For long exposures, whether shooting at night to capture unique lighting, or shooting during the day to add a bit of motion blur through the lens, you’ll eventually need to add a tripod for your camera to your equipment list.

Tripods for your cameras come in a variety of shapes and sizes.   One of mine is about six inches tall and fits easily into my camera bag.  Another one I own is tall–about twenty four inches.  With slip-locks on its legs, it will expand to nearly five feet!

Tripods for cameras most universally utilize a 1/4 inch thread on their mounting bolt.  This allows the user to screw the tripod base directly into the camera body.  And into nearly any camera body–SLR or point and shoot.

If you’re serious about improving your shooting, consider buying a tripod for your camera.  You may be suprised at the improvement!
